08. Exercise & Fitness
You’re going to feel stronger and more energised! The fitness portion of Pause has been designed for everyone, whether you exercise regularly or haven’t worked out in years, you can complete everything we set out for you.
If you ever struggle or need an alternative because of an injury or simply cannot do it, make sure you post in your group. Our coaching team will be ready to guide and support you. If your situation is personal, then do not hesitate to contact your coach privately.
Strength Challenges
Once a week, your coach will release a challenge with written instructions and a demonstration video. Pay close attention to the demo, as correct form is essential.
Challenges are designed to push you; all we ask is that you give your best. Be mindful of your own limits; whether due to age, fitness, or health, take as many breaks as you need while still pushing yourself safely.
Try your best to complete every challenge. Each one is carefully planned to make your body and mind stronger.
Pilates Sessions
These sessions change weekly, and your coach will post them in your group at the start of each week.
Pilates strengthens your core, improves posture, and enhances flexibility, which can help reduce back pain and joint stiffness, common concerns during menoPause. It also supports balance, reduces stress, and promotes mindfulness, helping to manage mood swings and improve overall well-being.
Frequency & Rest Day
We suggest you complete each strength workout 2-3 times a week and our guided Pilates ideally 2-3 times a week.
You may be able to achieve this in Week 1 or it may take time to establish your new habits and schedule that time in for yourself.
It’s as important not to be overwhelmed as it is to move, so it’s perfectly fine to build up to this if needs be but it’s just as important to reach new limits and push your own boundaries.
Just make sure you include at least one full rest day each week.
Injuries and Health
Let your coach know if you have any injuries or health conditions that may impact you exercising.
